We, the generation that has been watching make-up tutorials since childhood.

We, the generation that is finally learning to talk openly about our mental health problems.

We, the generation that is growing up.

We, the generation that goes on strike with Greta on Fridays.

We, the generation that orders from Shein.

We, the first generation to go to school online.

We, the generation that founds fashion labels and releases rap songs at 16.

We, the generation that travels the world at 18.

We, the generation that knows it can have it all.

We, the generation that posts and forgets.

About a year ago, I started asking myself the question: who actually belongs to my generation, and what defines us? I began the project in April 2021. I asked my friends if they could imagine writing a text, creating a photo series, or designing an illustration to be published in the magazine. The immediate question was: on what topic?

Well, about our generation, who we are and what we do.

We are the "social media" generation with the world at our fingertips. Every day, I am overwhelmed online by thousands of new impressions. There are so many places I can still visit, so many courses I can study, and so many people I can meet. Sometimes I feel like I'm in a frenzy, wanting to experience more and not miss out on anything. With so much distraction, it can sometimes be hard to remember what I have seen and felt.

That's exactly why I decided to print the magazine. I want to create something that lasts. Something we can show our grandchildren one day.

Because posting isn't all we can do; there is so much more within us!

So, I want to engage with the thoughts and creativity of my generation and represent them in the best possible way, so that not only Gen Z can see themselves in it, but all other generations can gain insight into who we are.

Now it’s April 2022, and I am incredibly happy with all the contributions I have received. Many thanks again to everyone! This project not only contains so much love and time but also an indescribable amount of variety thanks to the 24 contributors. Whether you participated in the project, know someone who did, or are simply interested in us, Gen Z, I hope you enjoy the following pages and feel comfortable as you browse through them.

Have a great time!
